The representative of the Fire Department Vassilis Varthakoyiannis speaking in the morning to ERT, he pointed out that in Attica so far the heavy rain during the night hours has not created serious problems, however the phenomena are being monitored and the Fire Brigade forces are ready to intervene where necessary. Mr. Varthakoyiannis draws the attention of drivers on the streets of Athens, while pointing out that children should also be careful.

In Thessaly, as he said no particular problems have been reported, and the calls received by the Fire Department are for water pumping in the already flooded areas from the previous bad weather.
