In the Mixed Jury Court of Ilia, in Pyrgos, the case of the unruly infant with his own father as the main accused, which had shocked Patras five years ago, is being revived.

The adjudication of the assistant physician’s case, with the specialty of pediatrician, accused of abusing his child when he was an infant, began last Tuesday, the accused father being arraigned on felony charges at the will of the Board of Appeals for Fathers before the Joint Jury.

Specifically, the criminal acts that have been attributed to the accused involve sexual acts with a minor under the age of twelve consecutively, abuse of a minor in sexual acts, under the age of twelve consecutively and for sexual intercourse between blood relatives, consecutively.

He saw this particular case for the first time the “light” of publicity in 2018, when the complainant’s mother and ex-wife of the accused claimed that the pediatrician was depicted in visual material touching their child, outside the hospital and not in the context of an examination.

In fact, the alleged victim, his own child, was an infant at the time of the crime in question, while the criminal prosecution against the father for the criminal acts was brought in 2019.

It is worth noting that the then Minister of Health, Thanos Pleuris, had asked the deputy administrator of the hospital, where the accused served as a doctor, to convene the Board of Directors. and to make a decision based on the public interest, regarding his removal.

Finally, the decision taken in October 2021 was to terminate the doctor’s contract with the University General Hospital of Patras.

As reported by ERT, during the first day of the proceedings, the complaining mother of the infant, as well as her mother, testified as witnesses, while the next hearing has been set for October 23, 2023.
