The competent bodies carry out sampling every day
The problem is serious faced by Volos with the water supply, as well as the water in the municipality remains inappropriate according to the Ministry of Health.
If the water is deemed unfit for human use, it automatically means that the water is not potable, and cannot be used for cooking, food or drink production, washing vegetables and personal hygiene (washing hands, etc.). In these cases it is recommended boiling water for 1-3 minutes.
In case of turbidity of the water, it is recommended to precede it boiling water filtering (e.g. with cloth clothes, coffee filters).
Regarding the safety and suitability of water in Thessaly, up to now, they have been carried out 1,208 sample downloads.
The changes presented today are:
- In the Municipality of Volos, the water is considered unsuitable, until new instructions are announced by the competent authorities.
- In the Municipality of South Pelion: The water is considered suitable for the local community of Afeto and the settlement of Koropi Mileon.
- In the Municipality of Agia: The water is considered suitable for the municipal community of Agia and the local communities of Dimitra, Amygdalis, Stomio and Kastri.
- In the Municipality of Sofadon: The water is considered suitable for the local communities of Kappadokikos and Paschalitsa.
- In the Municipality of Mouzaki: The water is considered unsuitable for the local communities of Amygdali, Anthochori, Vatsounias, Drakotrypa, Ellinokastro, Kriopigi, Oksia, Pefkofyto, Porti and Agios Akakios.
- In the Municipality of Limni Plastira: The water is deemed suitable for the entire Municipality.
- In the Municipality of Trikkaia: The water is deemed suitable for the local community of Ellinokastro.
Apart from the changes in the municipalities of Volos, South Pelion, Agia, Sofadon, Mouzaki, Limni Plastira and Trikkaia with the highlighted footnotes, there are no other changes in the water supply networks and what has been mentioned in a previous update applies.
