Detailed traffic regulations due to the “15th Race for the Cure” – How Trams and Metro will work
Traffic regulations are in force today in the center of Athens due to the holding of the “15th Race for the Cure” street race and walk.
Detailed traffic regulations for today Sunday (1/10)
Gradual stoppage of vehicle traffic, during the hours 07.00 to 13.00, as follows:
-L. Vas. Amalias, along its entire length in both (2) traffic streams and on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
-L. Syngrou, in the section between Ath. Diakou Street and L. Vas Amalia Street, in the traffic flow towards Pl. Constitution.
-L. Vas. Olgas, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
-Ath. Diakou, along its entire length in the flow of traffic towards Syngrou Street.
Gradual suspension of vehicle traffic, during the hours 08.30 to 13.00, as follows:
-L. Vas. Sofias, in the section between L. Vas. Amalia and Zakharov St. in both (2) traffic streams and on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
-L. Cons.
* along its entire length, traffic flow towards Arditto Street and on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street, and
* in the part of it between Sp. Merkouri Street and L. Vass. Sofias, traffic flow towards Kifisias Street and on the right side of it up to the first parallel street.
– Mr. Attikou, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
– Bas. Georgiou II, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
-Meleagro, in the section between Hesiodos Street and Kon/nou Street.
-Aravantinou, in the section between Hesiodos Street and Kon/nou Street.
– Cleanthous, in the section between Vas. Georgiou B’ Street and Vas. Kon/nou Street.
-University (El. Venizelou), in the section between L. Vas. Amalia and Pesmazoglou Street and on its perpendiculars up to the first parallel street.
– Stadium, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
-Academia, in the section between Char Street. Trikoupi and L. Vas. Sofia and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
– Fillellinon, along its entire length and on its diagonals up to the first parallel street.
Ban of the stopping and parking of vehicles during the hours 06.00′ to 13.00′, on Pesmazoglou Street, along its entire length.
Ban of the vertical passage of vehicles along the route of the event [Λ. Βασ. Αμαλίας – Λ. Βασ. Σοφίας – αναστροφή στο ύψος της οδού Ξενίας – Λ. Βασ. Σοφίας (ρεύμα ανόδου) – Λ. Βασ. Κων/νου (ρεύμα καθόδου) – Λ. Βασ. Όλγας]during the hours when its sections will be closed to vehicular traffic except for the following controlled ones:
-L. Vas. Sofias – Rigillis.
-L. Bas. Kon/nou – Bas. Georgiou II.
The Police appeals to the drivers of the vehicles, in order to serve them better and to prevent traffic accidents, to be especially careful when passing through the above points and to follow the existing road markings and the instructions of the traffic wardens.
How Tram and Metro will work
At the same time, the connection of Line 7 of the Tram and Line 2 of the Metro will be made through the A2 bus line at the stops “Marina Alimos” for the Tram and “Sygrou-Fix” for the Metro.
Also, the passenger public can also be served by the bus lines: B2: SIGROU FIX TO AGIOS KOSMAS (VIA SIGROU – PARALIAKIS AVENUE) 126: PANAGITSA STOP (FROM NAIADON STREET) TO SIGROU FIX.
