Incidents between police officers and anti-authoritarians took place on Sunday night in the center of Heraklion in Crete.
Unidentified persons attacked the police with stones, who responded by throwing chemicals.

The incidents are connected with the evacuation at dawn on Saturday of the former Evangelismos clinic, which was under occupation for more than 22 years, by anti-authoritarians.
It is noted that both the building of the former Evangelical clinic, as well as political offices and potential “targets” are guarded 24 hours a day by strong police forces.

According to Cretalive, the police forces (police officers of the Heraklion Police Department and the Department of the Special Repressive Anti-Terrorist Unit (TEKAM) of Crete) early on Saturday morning raided the building of Evangelismos, and inside they were found 10 people who were arrested without resisting. A person who tried to escape, jumped from a roof onto the street, from a great height resulting in injuries. All those arrested were subsequently released, with a prosecutor’s order.

A few hours later, a protest was held in the center of Heraklion by people from the anti-authoritarian space, who tried to enter a place where a meeting of the Ministry of Rural Development was in progress. Tension prevailed, and tear gas was thrown.
A rally and protest march, without incident, took place on Saturday night as well.
