How many substitute teachers are employed in Primary and how many in Secondary Education – Over 2,000 special assistants and substitutes
The names of almost 11,000 substitute teachers and teachers for Special Education, the Ministry of Education announced.

Recruitment of 10,753 Primary and Secondary Education teachers, in Special Education and Education and in General Education as temporary substitutes, with a fixed-term Private Law employment relationship, for the academic year 2023-2024.
The Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports announces that for the academic year 2023-2024 the following are hired as temporary substitutes:
In Primary Education:
(a) 4,977 teachers of branches/specialties in Special Education and Education (SEA), and
(b) 3,128 teachers of branches/specialties in General Education.
In Secondary Education:
(a) 1,278 teachers of branches/specialties in Special Education and Education (EEA),
(b) 1,276 teachers of branches/specialties in General Education, and
(c) 91 PE79.01 and TE16 teachers in Music Schools for the teaching of music specializations.
In addition, three (3) temporary substitutes for PE04.01 and PE86 branches were made available for recruitment at the Sivitanideo Public School of Arts and Vocations, by decision of the relevant Board of Directors.
Recruits must report and undertake duty from Tuesday 10 to Wednesday 11 October 2023.
On the process of placement in school units (for the cases required) and taking up service, the recruits should refer to the address www.minedu.gov.gr/anaplirotes where the necessary information and clarifications have been posted.

The Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports announces that 2,026 members of the EEP-EBP are being recruited as temporary substitutes with a full-time employment relationship under Private Law for the academic year 2023-2024 as follows:
In the School Units of Special Education and Education (SMEAE) → 604
In Specialized Educational Support (parallel) → 1.263
In the Interdisciplinary Assessment, Counseling and Support Centers (KEDASY) → 37
In the School Educational Support Networks (SDEY) in KEDASY → 74
In ZEP Reception Classes → 48
Those hired must present themselves and undertake service from Tuesday, October 10 to Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
