Officials of the Regional Drug Prosecution Team (PODIN) proceeded yesterday afternoon to arrest a 31-year-old citizen in the port of Piraeus, who in his attempt to avoid control developed speed with his vehicle and slightly injured two port guards.
According to the Hellenic Coast Guard, a chase followed by a Coast Guard vehicle and a two-wheeler, during which the 31-year-old driver threw from the window of the car, onto Moutsopoulos Beach, a package, which -as it was later found- contained drugs.
Afterwards, the IX car and the 31-year-old driver were stopped by the prosecuting authorities, who found the package, which contained cocaine with a total gross weight of 112 grams. as well as a quantity of raw cannabis, total gross weight 4.0 g.
