Specifically, today, approximately 7.2 million euros were credited to the accounts of 1,757 of our fellow citizens, said Mr. Triandopoulos
The 5th payment of the first aid was made today, which concerns households to cover their household goods, businesses, but also livestock units. The first aid platform also opens on Monday for farmers who have suffered damage to its fixed equipment and capital, said the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Mr. Christos Triandopoulos, in the briefing from the Coordination Center Businesses in Larissa.
The following are the statements of the Deputy Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Mr. Christos Triandopoulos:
Here, where the implementation of the state aid framework continues at the same intensive pace throughout this period, both in the first aid phase and in the implementation phase of all the prescribed measures.
Regarding the first aid, the 5th payment was made today.
Specifically, today, approximately 7.2 million euros were credited to the accounts of 1,757 of our fellow citizens.
This is first aid for households to cover their household goods, for businesses, but also for livestock units.
These are payments as a result of the intensive work of cross-checks and checks carried out by the staff of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Aid, but also by the staff of AADE, regarding the automatic identification process.
A project of intersections and controls, in close cooperation with the citizens, but also the agencies involved, so that public resources are directed to those who really need it.
A project that will continue at the same intensive pace, and I want to thank all the executives and partners who work and stay committed to a goal.
Thus, during the current week, through two payments, around 9.8 million euros were credited to 2,400 of our fellow citizens.
The overall result is that, in less than a month after the completion of the unprecedented flood phenomenon, approximately 46.5 million euros have been credited to 9,048 of our fellow citizens.
And the work of first aid continues, but also expands.
Initially, the first aid platform, arogi.gov.gr, will continue its operation beyond Monday and will remain open until October 31.
Already, so far, 35,417 finalized applications have been made, as well as 4,502 provisional applications.
Also, from Monday, the first aid platform will be opened for farmers who have suffered damage to their fixed equipment and capital.
So, from next week, said farmers will be able to apply on the platform arogi.gov.gr to receive first aid, 2,000 euros, against the state aid they will receive for losses in their equipment, machinery, goods, fixed assets, land capital and corresponding means of production.
Of course, the process of checks and cross-checks continues, with the result that first aid payments also continue.
A process of checks and cross-checks necessary, as it has highlighted several cases of errors, falsifications, misinterpretations, and omissions.
Cases for which there will be detailed information, while in some of them the prescribed procedure will be followed.
At the same time, the registration of data by the Region and ELGA continues, regarding businesses and agricultural holdings, while the autopsies are also progressing.
So far, including today’s project, more than 24,000 census autopsies and re-checks have been carried out in more than 260 communities by the staff of the General Secretariat for Natural Disaster Recovery and State Assistance.
And this particular project continues with the cooperation, also, of the Army, the Civil Protection, the TEE and also the Municipalities.
And it will continue in the next period as well.
At the same time, the implementation of all the measures of the state aid framework that have been announced and launched is progressing.
Within the week, with the publication of the relevant KYA, the scheme of housing assistance for the restoration of houses and other buildings was opened with an initial budget close to 116 million euros.
A scheme, in parallel with the financial support for household appliances and the first repair needs, to cover the damage to the building infrastructure.
To cover the damage to the houses:
• either it has minor damages but is habitable (i.e. “green”), with the state aid being able to reach up to 18,000 euros,
• either it is temporarily unsuitable until the significant damages are repaired (i.e. “yellow”), with the state aid being able to reach up to 42,000 euros,
• either it is unfit for use and must be reconstructed (ie “red”), with state aid up to 120,000 euros.
