Tasca da Esquina brings to Jardins, in São Paulo, the same menu that was served to Pope Francis during a flight between the Vatican and Portugal this year. Prepared by the chef, Vítor Sobral, the menu features special dishes between October 17th and 18th.

Black pork ham, Serra da Estrela cheese and fig jam from Tasca da Esquina, one of the papal dishes – Disclosure
For R$349, the public will taste four dishes, each paired with specific wines. For the starter, the chef prepared a board with black pork ham, Serra da Estrela cheese and fig jelly — flavors that match Monsaraz Rosé.
Next, the restaurant offers veal stewed in Port wine, accompanied by almond and turnip puree. Then, it’s time for the golden grouper (soft, white-fleshed fish), served with roasted tomato cream and sweet potato
To finish, the house showcases its orange cake, served with pistachio cream and roasted pear. Everything harmonized with Messias Tawny Porto.
According to Tasca da Esquina, 20% of the money raised from the menu will be used for social actions at Catedral da Sé, in the center.
Anyone who wants to try the full papal menu must make a reservation by calling (11) 3262-0033 or by email to [email protected].
