The guilt of the 47-year-old Taekwondo coach for four of the 8 felonies charged and for four misdemeanors, suggested earlier today the head prosecutor of the Joint Jury Court of Heraklion before which the case of the coach with the gold medals is heard, who allegedly, among other things, demanded massages from his underage athletes otherwise they would be beaten and punished.

The prosecutor evaluated each case separately, saying that the choice of victims was targeted. “He chose victims who he knew would not question him under any circumstances.”

As he mentioned, massage was not offered to everyone. He also emphasized that it was not easy for the minor athletes to come out and speak as what they suffered, they suffered from their coach, the man they trusted and had high in their consciousness. Based on the prosecutor’s plea, it is recommended that the accused be acquitted for the offense of causing dangerous bodily harm, for the offense of presenting pornographic material to minors and for various other acts.

As mentioned above, of the 8 felonies attributed, he suggested guilt for four (concerning four minor athletes) while for the other four he suggested changing them to misdemeanors, arguing that at the discretion of the Prosecutor’s Office there is a criminal classification.

The process continues with the procurement of civil action and defense attorneys
