His title Standard Chartered Photographer of the Year won this year Francisco Negroni. The incredible photograph he took of a lenticular cloud around the crater of a volcano beat a strong list of finalists to win the Chilean photographer the title and the £5,000 prize.

The winner for the public was the Brazilian photographer Fernando Braga with the photo of lightning bolts snaking around the famous statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro.
