In Mantoudi we are all concerned and are on alert after the two incidents of attempted abduction of minor children in our village.
The two incidents took place on Thursday October 19 at 17:30 pm and 19:00 pm respectively.
One incident concerns the 7-year-old boy who was playing outside the gym and on his way home, a black Mercedes car stopped him and asked him strange questions.
The other incident concerns the 8.5-year-old girl who was on the side street of the square in Mantoudi where her grandmother has a pastry shop 200 meters from the house.
A gray van approached her and a man in his 50s spoke to her as the little girl sped off.
It is a serious and worrying fact. We shouldn’t leave children alone anymore, they need a lot of attention. Let me tell you, however, that no other similar event has happened before.
The Mantoudi police department is investigating the case”, said the deputy mayor of Mantoudi while revealing that the same cars were involved in all three incidents.
It should be noted that the third incident took place in the municipality of Dirfyon-Messapion with a 12-year-old girl from Triada.
