The pan-Hellenic examinations of allogenes who legally reside in our country for the acquisition of the Certificate of Knowledge Proficiency for Naturalization (P.E.G.P.) were completed yesterday, which is a necessary condition for the acquisition of Greek citizenship.

They participated more than 4,000 candidatesy, who attended the 59 examination centers (52 general and 7 special) that operated throughout the territory.

As is the case in these examinations, which are held twice a year, candidates were examined at languagethe geographythe historyhim culture and the political institutions.

For the successful completion of the examination process, the Ministries of the Interior, as the competent and the Ministry of Education and Religion, cooperated with the assistance of the Hellenic Police, the Municipalities, EYDAP and DEDDIE.

The general secretary of Citizenship, Angelos Demosthenous, thanked the Scientific and Organizing Committee, as well as the public sector executives who worked with a high sense of responsibility for the preparation and successful implementation of the exams.

At the same time, he emphasized that transparency, respect for the rules of law and human rights are a top priority for the general secretariat of Citizenship and the Ministry of the Interior.
