Vehicles purchased
The Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Nikos Papathanasis, signed a decision to join the Project Recovery Fund for the purchase of vehicles, with a budget of 44,380,000 euros, in order to upgrade and strengthen Civil Protection at regional and local level.
This Action concerns the market:
• Six (6) vehicles of breathing apparatus.
• Ninety-eight (98) SUV C class auxiliary vehicles.
• Six (6) heavy-duty jeep utility vehicles (4X4).
• Forty-eight (48) pick-up utility vehicles (4X4).
• Ninety (98) nine-seater VAN utility vehicles.
• Eight (8) VAN type trucks (4X4).
• One hundred and sixty (160) MPV-type auxiliary vehicles for the transport of personnel and equipment.
• Twenty (20) buses of 22 seats each.
• Fifteen (15) buses of 30 seats each.
• Four (4) buses with 50 seats each.
• Two (2) ambulances.
• One hundred and fifty (150) boats
• Ten (10) firefighting speedboats for immediate intervention with transport trailers.
• Eight (8) E class passenger vehicles.
Responsible Ministry and Implementing and Funding Agency is the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection.
The Action is part of the strengthening of fire and flood protection of the Axis sustainable use of resources, resilience to climate change and preservation of biodiversity of the “Green Transition” Pillar of Recovery.
