One dead and three wounded are the toll so far from an explosion at a university building in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, on Friday.

According to armenpress.am, the Ministry of Interior reported that the explosion occurred in the basement of the chemistry department building of Yerevan State University.

“The fire is now out,” the university spokesman said.

The Ministry of Health announced that one person was killed by the blast and at least three others were hospitalized.

The representative stated that the victims are university administrators.
