The implementation of the POS – cash register interface project continues at an unabated pace and within the planned schedule.

For 112 models of cash registers, i.e. almost all of the cash registers currently operating on the market, the upgrades that will allow them to be connected to the POS have been approved by AADE.

In no time, the creation of the POS Registry is complete. There are 1,070,000 POS registered, operating in the country and belonging to 585,000 businesses.

Of these, 520,000 POS belong to businesses, which have an obligation to use a cash register. These are 356,000 businesses, which have an obligation to connect POS with their cash registers.

Already, 10 POS operators have submitted a statement of compliance, representing 95% of active POS.

AADE has sent the POS administrators lists of the 520,000 POS, which must be upgraded as a matter of priority. Within the next few days, AADE will also send e-mails to the businesses themselves, so that they too can take care of the availability of the POS devices for upgrading. It is pointed out that the POS can be upgraded digitally, if they are connected to the internet, without the need for a technician to visit the place where the POS is located.

After upgrading the POS, the business will receive a message from AADE, so that within 30 days they can call their installer to connect their cash register with the upgraded POS.

In the coming days, the updated financing framework for businesses is also expected, as well as the regulation of the last details, so that they can interface with POS and the new types of virtual cash registers (Virtual Cash Registers), for those businesses that choose these new solutions .

The progress of the project is recorded daily on the special website of AADE https://www.aade.gr/diasyndesipos
