Police officers from the Rafina-Pikermio Security Department of the Northeast Attica Security Sub-Directorate proceeded to investigate 38 cases of online fraud, which were committed from July to September 2023 against citizens in the wider region of Attica and in areas of the province.
A 42-year-old woman was identified for the case, against whom a case file was filed for consecutive frauds.
According to the Police, a related complaint was filed, from the investigation of which it emerged that the defendant was selling clothes and shoes through websites, but the buyers, upon receiving them, found that they were different from what they ordered and of negligible value.
From the investigation so far, it has been established that the accused was involved in 38 cases of fraud against citizens in Athens, Zografo, Byron, Paleo Faliro, Alimo, Agia Paraskevi, Geraka, Vrilissia, Melissia, Artemisa, Markopoulo, Koropi, Lagonisi, Petroupoli, Aegaleo , Kallithea, Korydallos, Piraeus, Salamina, Thessaloniki, Katerini, Farsala, Livadia, Chalkida, Rhodes and Kiato of Corinth.
In order to put an end to her illegal activity, the police officers of the Rafina-Pikermi Security Department, with the assistance of police officers of the Livadia Security Department and in the presence of a judicial officer, carried out yesterday morning in the area of ​​Livadia, searches of a business premises and a house during which a bank debit card was confiscated and 2 telephone connection packs.
The completed case file will be submitted to the competent prosecuting authority.
