According to the forecast of EMY, disturbance in the upper atmosphere coming from the northwestern Balkans will cause worsening of the weather in our country from the afternoon of Monday 07-02-2022 until the morning hours of Wednesday 09-02-2022, with their main characteristics Stormy winds of 8 to 10 Beaufort, heavy local rains and storms, temporary heavy snowfall in central and north and a noticeable drop in temperature. From Monday night, stormy north northwest winds will prevail in the west from the evening hours, when their intensity will reach 8 to 9 Beaufort, while Rain and thunderstorms in places will be strong from the afternoon in the northern Ionian and Epirus. which at night will extend to Macedonia, Thrace, Thessaly, the Sporades, the southern Ionian, the Sterea, the Peloponnese and the islands of the northern Aegean. Heavy snowfalls in places will occur from Monday night in western Macedonia and in the mountains – semi-mountains of Epirus and gradually in central and eastern Macedonia and Thrace.

Heavy snowfall in places will occur in the mountains and semi-mountains of eastern Macedonia, Thrace and Evia. The phenomena in eastern Macedonia and Thrace will weaken quickly and will stop in the afternoon, while gradually until the evening they will be limited to the Cyclades, Crete and the Dodecanese. The temperature will drop significantly by 8 to 10 degrees Celsius in northern and central Greece.
