From Wednesday 13 December to Wednesday 3 January will be applied, and this year, the “Christmas Basket”which will include different food categories for festive table.

Specifically, at “Christmas Basket” will contain the following products:

  1. Turkey
  2. Lamb
  3. Kid
  4. Greek sweet bread
  5. King pie
  6. Chocolate.

These were decided at the meeting held today by the Minister of Development, Kostas Skrekas and the general secretary Sotiris Anagnostopoulos, with the president of the Union of Supermarkets of Greece (ESE), Aristoteli Panteliadis, the general secretary, Costas Mavroides and the general manager, Apostolos Petalas.

The minister said after the end of the meeting: “Once again we had a very meaningful meeting with the Supermarket Union and together we decided which products will be included in this year’s “Christmas Basket”which will start on December 13th and will last until January 3rd. They will be included basic food categories for every household, while this year we are additionally including melomakaroni and kourabiedes. On these holy days, we want every homemaker to succeed to ensure the necessary products for his Christmas table at low prices and we feel great satisfaction that we succeed and implement it”.
