The deadline for submitting applications to the Program is from 12/31/2023 to 4/30/2024.
The “Moving Electric 2” Program is being strengthened, which concerns the granting of incentives for the purchase of electric vehicles by private individuals, with an amendment to a Joint Ministerial Decision, which provides for an extension of the Program until April 2024, a significant increase in funding and a modification of the framework, so that to accelerate the rate of absorption of funds and the process of payment of subsidies.
In particular, with the MOU signed by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Christos Staikouras, the Minister of National Economy and Finance, Kostis Hatzidakis, the Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis, the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Thanos Petralias, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport , Christina Alexopoulou and the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Alexandra Sdoukou, the 2nd Cycle of the Program is amended as follows:
– The budget of the action is increased to 65 million euros and at the same time, the possibility of transferring unused resources from one category of vehicles to another, for which the resources have been exhausted, is provided.
– A deadline of 45 days is set for the submission of a vehicle order form by the beneficiary, with an advance payment or a time-lease agreement with an advance payment. The regulation concerns applications that have already been approved and included or will be included in an affiliation decision. It is noted that in case of non-submission of the above, the application will be rejected and the subsidy amount will be released.
– The time period for completing the purchase of the electric vehicle is limited from 12 to 8 months, from the date of inclusion in the Program.
The above regulations limit the number of applications that remain inactive and free up resources for the submission of new applications by private individuals or legal entities, who have the possibility to immediately proceed with the purchase of an electric vehicle.
In this direction, the deadline for submitting applications to the Program is extended by four (4) months, from 12/31/2023 to 4/30/2024.
