The farmers of the Karditsa Regional Unit mobilized today with a tractor, on the E65 (Karditsa junction), responding to the call of the United Federation of Agricultural Associations of Karditsa (EOASK) and the Agricultural Associations.

The farmers, as the speakers emphasized, claim for flood victims, to be calculated based on production costs, expected production and damage per producer, which is far above the insurable value of the ELGA regulation.

Also, the claim framework also includes replenishment of lost income in crops that were damaged and are not compensated, such as downy mildew in vines.

Also, the restrictions on crops from the new CAP, tax-free agricultural oil and reduction of production costs, etc. should not apply.

In statements to the Athenian-Macedonian News Agency, the president of EOASK, Kostas Tzelas, talks about full-immediate restoration and the protection of our lives, without discounts, “so that we can stay in our country”, as he typically emphasizes.
