According to the police, at 04.00 in the morning they were informed of a car theft in the area of ​​Nice. A patrol car and a DIAS engine immediately started chasing the suspect vehicle from Nice, which developed speed and tried to escape them in Athens – Corinth.

When they arrived at the scene, they spotted two cars, one of which they stopped, but the second sped up to escape. The police car and the DIAS car started to chase it.

At the height of Aspropyrgos, near Lake Koumoundourou, the driver of the suspect vehicle made a dangerous maneuver, resulting in a motorcycle of the DIAS team participating in the pursuit crashing into a patrol car when the driver braked sharply.

The result was that the two police officers of the DI.AS Team were injured. one seriously and to be transferred to the “Triasio” hospital where the 29-year-old ended up a little while later. The passenger, who is seriously injured, was taken to the 401 military hospital in the morning, while according to information he is intubated.

Police have reportedly arrested one person.
