Panorama Triangles were named the second best dessert in the world – in the pastries category – according to the famous global tasting guide Taste Atlas.

The crispy and buttery “Thessaloniki” pastry with phyllo and cream came second to the preferences of the guide’s voters, after Portugal’s sweet Pastel de Belém tart – another accolade for Greek gastronomy.

In the first 5 ada of the pastries – in the 5th place – is another Greek sweet with foil or dough: the pitarakia of Milos.

“The dough is filled with mizithra cheese, sugar, eggs and cinnamon. The sweet patties are usually fried in hot oil until they get a nice color and become crispy,” says the guide.
