In solving nineteen completed cases of theft and burglaries and eight attempts on businesses and vehicles, which were committed in the wider area of ​​the Municipality of Heraklion, the investigation by the police officers of the Heraklion Security Sub-Directorate continued.

For these cases two foreign minors aged 13 and two citizens were arrested, while it was formed file against another citizen for the case-by-case offenses of grand larceny, accepting and disposing of proceeds of crime and in addition to drug legislation.

In particular, as it emerged from the preliminary investigation and after the appropriate utilization of data, the five persons involved during the time period from 05/09/2023 to 19/12/2023 had committed the above thefts, removing a total of approximately six thousand euros , mobile phones, collectible banknotes, cigarette packs and various documents.

In searches carried out, by police officers in the houses of the accused and in another place they used, the total sum of approximately three hundred euros was found and confiscated, small amount of cannabis and three mobile phones.

Furthermore, the mothers of the two foreign minors were also arrestedfor neglect of supervision of minors.
