In Istanbul the lawyer Sakis Kehagioglou, Arch Guardian of the Church
The lawyer went to Istanbul on Monday 12/18/2023 Sakis KehagioglouArch Vicar of the Great Church of Christ, for the completion 50 years old from the election of the ATHP of the Ecumenical Patriarch Ms. Bartholomew as Metropolitan of Philadelphia on 12/18/1973.
In the morning the Patriarch officiated at the Divine Liturgy at the Church of Agios Georgios in Fanari, after the end of which 3 new Saints were canonized. Then His Holiness received Mr. Kehagioglou in his office, who, on the occasion of the anniversary, presented him with an engraving of Constantinople from the beginning of the 19th century.
In the afternoon of the same day, he attended the presentation of his book at the Consulate General of Greece Hon. Metropolitan of Australia Mr. Makarios, entitled “The Ecumenical Patriarchate – Ruling and Suffering Church”. The book was presented by the former deputy prime minister, professor Evangelos Venizelos, the MP Maximos Charakopoulos and the professor of the Theological School of AUTH Theodoros Yagou. The discussion was moderated by Hon. Metropolitan of Dimitrias, Mr. Ignatios.
The next day, Tuesday 12/19/2023, Mr. Kehagioglou sat in on a dinner, hosted in honor of the Ecumenical Patriarch and the Synodal Metropolitans by His Eminence Metropolitan of Geron Chalkidon, Mr. Emmanuel in a central Istanbul hotel.
