Astronomers warn of ‘evaporation of entire ocean surface’ of Earth due to greenhouse effect – It could soon resemble uninhabited Venus
The predictions of some scientists about the future of our planet, which in a few hundred years will become “hell” for its inhabitants, are at least ominous.
Actually, Earth could soon resemble the uninhabited and inhospitable Venusdue to the “greenhouse effect”.
A terrifying glimpse into Earth’s future: Scientists simulate a ‘runaway greenhouse effect’ – and say it could turn our planet into an uninhabitable HELL in just a few hundred years https://t.co/jVP4NB75OS pic.twitter.com/QPBOhKVcmv

The greenhouse effect can turn a temperate, habitable planet with oceans of water into one dominated by hot steam, hostile to all life,” say astronomers from the University of Geneva (UNIGE), together with the French CNRS laboratories in Paris and Bordeaux.
In their scientific work warn of “evaporation of the entire ocean surface” of the Earthand “dramatic increase in global surface temperatures”.
Earth would then become a planet like Venus – Earth’s “evil twin” and hottest planet in our solar system, with a surface hot enough (465°C) to melt lead, and a dense atmosphere containing toxic clouds of sulfuric acid.
“Understanding the greenhouse effect is vital to prevent the transformation of Earth into Venus” scientists emphasize.
The greenhouse effect is the process by which a planet’s atmosphere traps heat and helps raise its surface temperature.
In recent years, the term has been associated with an increase in the average temperature of the Earth’s surface (global warming), while it is considered that the phenomenon has been significantly enhanced by anthropogenic activities.
