The Metropolitan of Fthiotida, Mr. Simeon, defended the institution of the patriarchal, Orthodox, Greek family with a fiery speech during his speech yesterday, at the Christmas event of the Conservatory of the Metropolis.
The Metropolitan called for “respect” in the Greek Family, stressing that Orthodox Christians love and do not reject anyone, but demand respect for their conservatism.
“Rejoice in your progress, rejoice in the darkness of your progress. We are and will remain conservative, do you like it? If you like it and if it works for you… We love family and respect everyone but we demand that they respect us and not make fun of us. That’s enough! Leave the American women, this is Greece!»
