The Directorate of Economic Police, in collaboration with the Attica Economic Crime Prosecution Service, detected an illegal alcoholic beverage brewery in Gazi within the premises of a store of health interest.

For the case, -2- people were arrested, against whom a case file was filed for acceptance and distribution of proceeds of crime, forgery, violation of the National Customs Code, as well as the laws on weapons, marks and money laundering, while they were identified still -4- people, who are wanted.

In particular, during the control carried out at noon on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, in the store of health interest as well as in its adjacent warehouses, equipment and materials for the production of adulterated alcoholic beverages were found.

At the same time, carefully hidden fake police department seals were found in a special cache in the store’s offices, while it was found that -3- more companies with a common activity were housed in the same area, so that through the preparation of fake documents they could issue a new operating license in case removing the existing one.

In total, from the search carried out in the store and in the ancillary areas, the following were found and confiscated:

-100 liters of transparent alcoholic liquid of unknown origin, without documents,

– a number of brand-name alcoholic beverages, obviously falsified-falsified,

– a number of empty bottles of various branded drinks,

-numerous fake labels and caps,

– scraper and special hair dryer for re-bottling,

– fake stamp of police station and police officer,

-100 cartridges and magazine,

-stolen bicycle, completely damaged and bicycle without frame number,

– the sum of -350- euros and

– number of POS -3- companies.

Those arrested, with the case filed against them, were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
