By his decision Minister of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection, Vassilis Kikiliawere sent today to all the companies they have project machinery, urgent letters in which companies are obliged to outline the services they can provide in case of heavy snowfall.

The letters were sent following the broad meeting held last Friday 22/12 with the aim of planning and coordinating the effective management of possible extreme weather phenomena, mainly in the Attica basin.

In the tables sent by the General Secretariat of Civil Protection, company owners should fill in within three working days:

• the set of available project machines, which can be made immediately available for use, for the snow removal of the road network by region

• the headquarters and the parking/maintenance area of ​​the machines

• details of project machine operators by machine as well as additional operators who meet the project machine operator proficiency requirements

• basic characteristics, type and details of license, registration number of each machine

• pending applications for licensing of all types of snow removal machines, with protocol numbers and pending application service

• details of the company’s legal representative for immediate communication, assistance and transfer to the National Civil Protection Crisis Management Coordination Center if there is a need for early preparation for the possibility of snowfall.
