The prosecutor prosecuted the 35-year-old parricide from Peristeri for murder by intent, carrying a weapon and using a weapon, following the murder of his 62-year-old father, shortly after midnight, in an apartment on Kolonou Street.

According to ERT, the 35-year-old passed the prosecutor and is now expected to receive a deadline from the investigator.

There is reportedly a history of domestic violence as the victim was arrested in 2017 for assault and battery on relatives.

The timeline of the crime

At one after midnight, he allegedly attacked his wife in a drunken state, his 35-year-old son got in the way, who then stabbed him.

The son then called the police and said “I killed my father”.

The 35-year-old lived with his parents in the same house. The family is originally from Uzbekistan and has taken Greek citizenship.

The assailant was injured by the same knife in the hand and was taken to the hospital for stitches.

He was then taken to the Security where he is detained and will be referred to the Prosecutor.
