In the gastronomic sector, the year 2023 was marked by almost countless openings of restaurants, bars and cafes in the capital of São Paulo, leaving behind the crisis caused by the Covid pandemic once and for all.
This movement should continue in 2024, with the opening of more addresses — some already with a scheduled date. Many of them will even have renowned names at the helm, such as chefs Luiz Filipe Souza and Helena Rizzo and bartender Márcio Silva.
Discover below six new developments that will open their doors in the coming year.

Arturito
The restaurant by Argentine chef Paola Carosella and her partner Benny Goldenberg changes location in March. After 15 years, the house leaves Pinheiros to occupy a high-end residential building near Rua Oscar Freire, in Jardins. The space will be larger, with 500 m² and 80 seats. The menu will continue to be based on the seasonality of ingredients, but will have new features, such as breakfast items, with sweets and sandwiches.
Exímia Bar
Award-winning bartender and mixologist Márcio Silva, formerly of Guilhotina, returns to the counters with this bar alongside partner Nicholas Fullen, from Grupo Locale. After holding pop-ups at events, the cocktail spot will have its own home, scheduled to open in February, but with no confirmed address yet.
Felice and Maria
Restaurateur Massimo Ferrari, who was in charge of Massimo, an extinct Italian classic, returns to run a restaurant with this new restaurant, named in honor of his parents. The kitchen will occupy a two-story property on Avenida Hélio Pellegrino, in Vila Olímpia. The menu will feature Italian-inspired à la carte dishes, created by Bahian chef Edilson Barreto. There is no opening date yet.
Padoca da Mata
Padoca do Maní, home of chef Helena Rizzo, will gain a rebranded branch with new features on the menu. In a spacious 470 m² room, it will serve dishes for lunch and dinner, in addition to breads, cakes and other breakfast items. It is expected to open in January, on Rua Pedroso Alvarenga, in Itaim Bibi.
Tappo Trattoria
The Italian restaurant will be reopened by chef Benny Novak and his partner, Renato Ades. The kitchen will welcome the public starting this month on the ground floor of the Paquita building, in Higienópolis, in a larger space. The house, previously in Jardins, was closed in 2020, during the pandemic. Italian classics return to the menu, which will also bring new features.

Trattorita Evvai
Chef Luiz Filipe Souza, from Evvai, voted the 21st best restaurant in Latin America in the 50 Best, will dedicate himself to trattoria classics. The menu at the new location aims to highlight traditional recipes served à la carte. The house, without an exact opening date, will be located on Rua Joaquim Antunes, in Pinheiros.
