In court, five young men – including a girl -, who beat two other young men and the father of one for an insignificant reason
In the Self-evident Single Member Misdemeanor Court Thessalonikiwere brought today to stand trial for five young men aged 22 and 25, including a girl, who beat up two young men aged 21 and 22 and the father of one, for an insignificant reason, namely the way a vehicle was parked on a street in Sykies .
Specifically, on New Year’s morning at 8:30, the two young men were returning from a party and parked the vehicle them in a neighborhood street of Sykeon municipality.
Youths who thought he was blocking the vehicle asked them to leave and when the 21-year-old and 22-year-old refused, their group of youths attacked and and beat them using physical violence. The father of one when he heard the commotion came out to see what was happening and according to the police the members of the group attacked him as well. The attack caused physical injuries to the 21-year-old, his 22-year-old and his 53-year-old father.
The two young men and the 53-year-old who were injured and taken to hospital “G. Papanikolaou”, filed a lawsuit against the five young men.
Later one of the five young men arrested, submitted complaint at the expense of the three who were attacked for threatening and insulting, as a result of which they were arrested and released by order of the prosecutor.
The five arrested were taken to the public prosecutor who brought criminal charges against them for serial dangerous bodily harm and were referred to stand trial at the Autonomous Single-Member Misdemeanor Court of Thessaloniki. However, due to the abstention of the lawyers, the trial was postponed until September.
