Throughout the emergency measures, blankets, sleeping bags, croissants and water will be distributed to the homeless with the cooperation of the Municipal Police Department.
The Municipality of Thessalonikiin the context of planning to deal with extraordinary weather conditions, is going to operate with extended hours, from Wednesday 10/1/2024 until Sunday 14/1/2024, the already existing structures, which provide their services throughout throughout the year to provide temporary shelter to protect our vulnerable fellow citizens due to the cold.
Specifically, the following areas will operate:
- Homeless Dormitory (Andreou Georgiou 5 former 13 tel. 2310528811), from 17.00 until the next day at 09:00.
- Open Homeless Day Center (Monastiriou 62, tel. 2313316615), 24/7.
The premises will be attended by specialized staff of the Structures (Social Worker, Nurse, Doctor, etc.).
At the same time, for the protection of vulnerable groups, two branches of the Centers for the Open Protection of the Elderly (KAPI) will remain open from 08.00 to 20.00, specifically on the days from 10-1-2024 to 12-1-2024:
