Opinion – Copo Cheio: Folha cartoonists sign labels for Clube do Malte

by

One of the main beer signature clubs in the country, Clube do Malte pays tribute to cartoonists in its February pack, called Comic Beer.

The pack brings four long necks, with labels signed by Adão Iturrusgarai, Alberto Benett and Jean Galvão — all cartoonists from leaf— and Pryscila Vieira, who also worked for the newspaper.

Headed by Benett, the Comic Beer kit also includes the “Dossiê Benett”, a booklet with 50 other cartoons by the cartoonist from Paraná, “the ones that caused me the most trouble in my life”. A collectible cup and a magazine about the brewing universe complete the pack, for R$ 69.90.

“Benett is already our partner, so the idea was born almost ready. For us, it is an honor to be able to bring to the consumer, every month, such diverse themes and, thus, show that beer can match almost everything”, says Douglas Salvador, founder of Clube do Malt.

The pack comprises Comic Porter, a dark beer with low bitterness and 5.7% alcohol content (Benett label); Comic Blond Ale, Belgian style with 6.1% alcohol (label by Jean Galvão); Comic Pale Hop Lager, with 5% alcohol and the most hop of the bunch (by Pryscila Vieira); and the Comic Session IPA, with 5.4% alcohol content and moderate bitterness (by Adão Iturrusgarai) — the beers are brewed by the Paraná-based Way Beer.

The Comic Beer pack can be purchased until the end of February. For those who prefer, there are more humble suggestions, with two long necks, for R$ 24.90 and only the magazine as a gift — see the options at the link Clubedomalte.com.br/beer-pack. With ten years of existence, Clube do Malte is one of the main signature clubs of its kind in Brazil, with more than 12 thousand participants.
