The news is good for the 9-year-old Konstantinos who is being treated intubated at the “Agia Sophia” Children’s Hospital, while as his mother pointed out, the child does not have meningitis, but encephalitis, which was shown by the detailed examinations carried out at the specialized hospital in Athens.

According to patrisnews, the 9-year-old from Nea Figaleia shows a significant improvement in his health and the doctors are optimistic that he will succeed and will soon come out victorious in the adventure he is going through.

Konstantinos continues to be in the ICU in a stable condition, but as his mother pointed out, in the next few hours the treating doctors are expected to wake him up and transfer him to a bed, where he will be monitored for some 24 hours, before finally turning on the “green” light to return to his home.

“My child does not have meningitis, but encephalitis. It is from a high fever that passed suddenly, without our knowledge. My child is very well and today (s.p. yesterday) they will wake him up and tomorrow (s.p. today) he will go into a room. It’s something that can be cured, just like the doctors told me. They tell me it’s nothing too serious. His heart is working normally, so we have nothing to fear.”
