A 45-year-old man in Koropi had more than 45 kilograms of cocaine and weapons hidden in his house, the who was arrested by the Narcotics Prosecution sub-directorate

In particular, according to ELAS, during the investigation, the following were identified:

  • 45 kilograms and 167.3 grams of cocaine, including 36 standard packages that had a different logo on the outside and inside so that the quantities in question could be identified,
  • KALASHNIKOV type war rifle,
  • pistol with 2 magazines and
  • 149 cartridges of various calibers.

This was preceded by the arrest of a 45-year-old foreign member of the ring who was active in the trafficking of cocaine in the Attica basin and mainly in Western Attica and the Northern Suburbs, who was stopped by Narcotics Enforcement officers in the area of ​​Kifissia, in whose possession a nylon package containing 17 .5 grams of cocaine.

As pointed out in the relevant announcement, the disclosure of the activity of the cocaine trafficking ring and the termination of their activity was the result of a systematic investigation, analysis and cross-referencing of information, physical surveillance and verification of places, details of individuals (profiling), in the context of broader actions of the Drug Prosecution for the arrest of traffickers.

The arrested person, with the file filed against him for violation of the legislation on addictive substances and on weapons, was taken to the Criminal Prosecutor of Athens.
