A 27-year-old Greek man and a 28-year-old woman from Albania, who are accused of being important members of an organized ring active in drug trafficking, were arrested by police officers of the Operational Tactic and Action Department of the Organized Crime and Human Trafficking Sub-Directorate of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate.

From the police investigation it emerged that the arrested persons had the “role” of receiving within the Greek territory, transporting, hiding – storing and trafficking quantities of raw cannabis within the Greek territory and specifically in the urban complex of Thessaloniki.

During an organized operation that took place on Thursday, 11-01-2024 in the Filiros area of ​​Thessaloniki, the two members were identified and arrested, while in searches carried out in an area (garbage bins) where the 28-year-old woman deposited quantities of cannabis, as well as in two houses, were found and confiscated in total:

• Parcels and nylon bags containing quantities of raw cannabis weighing a total of 66 kilograms and 646 grams. It is worth noting that in most of the seized quantities special deodorants were used to mask the smell of narcotics and
• Three precision electronic scales.

In addition, three mobile phones used for their illegal transactions and an I.X.E. car used to transport the drugs.

A case file was filed against the two arrested for violating the Law on Addictive Substances and they were taken to the competent judicial authorities.
