The developments in the case of the murder of the unfortunate Alkis and the injury of his two friends, in the early hours of February 1, in the area of Charilaou, in Thessaloniki, are cataclysmic.
Four other defendants were taken to prison for the murder of 19-year-old Alkis. After their marathon apologies before the 7th regular interrogator, they were sentenced to temporary detention, as had happened to their six co-accused in the previous 24 hours.
The 20-year-old who had fled to Albania and who finally surrendered to the Greek authorities on Thursday night, was given a deadline to apologize on Monday, while as revealed to SKAI by the Minister of Civil Protection, a 12th person who participated in the murder ambush is wanted.
This is the driver of the third car of the perpetrators. His presence at the scene of the murder is confirmed by the others involved in the bloody attack against Alkis.
“We are aware that there is another person who is a suspect and will be arrested in the coming days, and with this the police believe that the circle of those responsible for this heinous act will have been completed,” he told SKAI the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos.
The 25-year-old confessed that he was holding the “carbide”
The 25-year-old passenger of the third car confessed that he was holding a knife, type “carbide”, in his apology, who also admitted that he used it while managing “two bites” -as he said- to a person who was not Alkis. In fact, this knife was allegedly located by the police. The 25-year-old was named by his co-accused as the person who stabbed the 19-year-old student, indicating the place where he threw the knife, in a deserted area.
The other three defendants who passed yesterday (Friday) the door of the interrogator’s office all denied their involvement in the fatal injury of the 19-year-old (his death came from the blows to the lower extremities and the fractures he suffered in the head).
Specifically, the 22-year-old driver of the second car allegedly apologized for approaching the crime scene, when the incident had ended and his co-accused were returning. “I was not holding anything in my hands and I did not hit anyone,” he was quoted as saying, according to what became known.
For his part, the 23-year-old passenger of the same car seems to have claimed that he got out of the vehicle but did not move away from it. On the same wavelength, another passenger of the car, 21 years old, said that he did not see anything from the incident and did not even get off the road. “We do not all know each other. “I could not imagine that there were weapons in the cars or that our meeting would have such an end,” he allegedly claimed.
The four defendants were called to reveal the identity and the role of the driver of the third vehicle, but – like the previous ones who apologized – they did not seem to give reliable answers or declared ignorance.
Their long apologies ended late Friday night, with the unanimous decision of the investigator and the prosecutor regarding their pre-trial detention.
The apology process will end on Monday with the 20-year-old (11th defendant), who had fled to Albania and surrendered to police.
Searches for the 12th and the ghost car
According to information, the authorities have turned to the search for the 12th of the gang, who is also said to be the driver of the gray Polo.
He is described in the testimonies as a man with a height of 1.70, unshaven and wearing a hat. His age is determined at 23-24 years.
In some deposits he is referred to as “Megalos” and a resident of Oreokastro.
The people who managed the deadly blows to Alkis with the scythe and the crowbar were riding in the Polo. However, there are reports of a 13th person.
Police have mapped the movements of the vehicle, however it has not been found yet.
Details on a second car
The Directorate of Criminological Investigations located in the black Clio DNA of Alkis in a seat and on a mat. This is the vehicle in which blood was found on the plate that the perpetrators threw during their escape.
The perpetrator who threw the knife into the sewer was also in the car in question.
Defendants continue to exchange charges
One after another, the detainees continue to exchange accusations. They nail each other for more favorable treatment.
The 21-year-old former football player who was holding the bloody scythe, claimed in his apology that he was not the one who managed the deadly blows. He photographed as a perpetrator the 25-year-old Athenian who, as he said, saw him holding a convex knife.
“My scythe fell on me. “Alkis was stabbed,” said the 21-year-old.
The 25-year-old is said to deny the accusation, blaming another for the fatal blow to 19-year-old Alkis.
The 25-year-old hooligan from Athens crossed the threshold of the investigator yesterday, along with three other defendants.
Under angry disapproval, the detainees entered the courts from the side entrance. Another of those involved denied in his apology that he was actively involved in the murderous attack.
“My heartfelt condolences to the family of Alkis. “I was sorry to be there, but I did not get out of the car and did not hit,” the 23-year-old testified.
“An overall effort to control the legal framework of the clubs, ie the fan associations to put it another way, as well as there will be a quality filtering of the fans”, pointed out in his statements the Minister of Justice, Costas Tsiaras.
The 20-year-old defendant from Albania was taken to the prosecutor at noon.
“I am just sorry I left. I want to go back and be judged to tell the whole truth about what really happened that night. “I am very sorry for the child,” said the 20-year-old.
The 20-year-old arrived shortly after midnight on Thursday, at the Thessaloniki police station.
He had been transferred earlier by the Albanian Police to the Krystallopigi Border Station and was arrested there by the Greek authorities.
“He did not hold a knife or hit it,” said the lawyer of the 20-year-old, Paraskeva Spyratos.
The young man who had fled to Albania, was given a deadline to apologize before the interrogator next Monday.
Video – SKAI Documentary: 2 of the perpetrators on the podium 4 hours before Alkis’s murder
A few hours before the murder of Alkis, at least 2 of the perpetrators were in the closed stadium of PAOK for a volleyball match with Olympiakos and as we will see in the exclusive video he secured SKAI, the 23-year-old, appears to have a leading role in the organization of the podium. The other defendants show the same person as the organizer of the attack on Charilaou.
4 hours before the murder
4 hours before the murder of 19-year-old Alkis, at least 2 perpetrators were in the closed stadium of PAOK and were watching the volleyball match with Olympiakos.
PAOK Indoor Stadium – Time 20:00
THE SKAI located the 23-year-old driving the white C3 in the stands of Palais. He is the young man you see standing, watching the match together with other fans in front of the banners of the most hardcore connections of the team ..
Police found a dark striped tracksuit in the 23-year-old’s home – a black jacket and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
He also wore volleyball during the match .. the perpetrator behaves like the leader of the organized .. he seems to be leading the podium .. up close, and the 20-year-old who was injured in the hand by the knife he was holding during the attack on Alkis ..
In the middle of the match, a MAT squad seems to be approaching the fans who are shouting slogans … but the tension is easing without incidents, at least at that moment.
PAOK Indoor Stadium – Time 22:00
At the end of the match, at 10 o’clock in the evening, 2 hours before the murder, the 23-year-old and his company leave, overtaking the others and leaving the indoor stadium.
The 23-year-old then goes to the liaison on Old Patras Germanou, and organizes – as other detainees complain – the attack.
“The attack was made by the idea of the 23-year-old himself. He picked up a phone, as at a young age he commands, to go and see if there are Martians in the area of Charilaou and to inform him,” the young man testified.
The link was also a base in this murderous ambush.
Police raided 18 liaison offices throughout Greece today to locate weapons and check liaison officers. However, the head of the PAOK association, who was arrested last week, was sentenced to 18 months in prison with a three-year suspension, for illegal possession of weapons.
It is revealed that simultaneously with the murder of Alkis, another bloody episode of fan violence was in progress in Chalkida
Video documented from the attack in Chalkida
In the video documentary from a security camera you see at least 3 hooligans hitting another fan in the head with a hammer. All this – in front of the eyes of the minor daughter of the victim sitting in the back seat of the car.
The Police arrested 4 young people for the attack while the Security of Chalkida found that the victim, 1 day before the attack he had, had stabbed with 2 other accomplices, a 28-year-old fan of a rival team.
