Farmers’ mobilizations continue in Larissa, Karditsa and at the Filota junction. In particular, a new block is set up in the center of Larissa, while at the same time the two blocks that exist in Karditsa and Platykambo from the previous days remain.

At dawn on Monday, about 30 farmers with their tractors suddenly appeared in the area of ​​Almyros.

In Larissa, the tractors remain in the Central Square of the city where after a new rally at 12 noon on Monday, they will return to the hub of Platykambos where the number of agricultural machines is increasing.

It is noted that the mobilization in Larissa will conclude today with an enlarged rally in which all sectors, chambers, the Chamber of Commerce and various bodies have been invited to take part and be informed about the demands of the farmers.

In their call, the farmers and breeders ask for the support of the citizens as well as that of the agencies. “We don’t want to create problems for anyone, we want them all together by our side in our fight.”

The farmers also set up a blockade at the Filotas junction on the Florina-Eordaia border. The Agricultural and Livestock Association of Eastern Eordaia and Southern Basin of Vegoritida chose this particular hub to set up a block today, Monday at 2:00 p.m., lining up more than 50 tractors as well as other agricultural machinery.

In a related update it is stated that “problems are the ones that take us out on the road. The Farmers’ Struggle is a struggle for the survival of Society and concerns us all. We are escalating our fight like our colleagues throughout Greece”.

The Association asks the local community, the agricultural and livestock Associations, the Cooperatives and all kinds of Association bodies, to stand by their side by supporting their mobilization.

In the meantime, contacts continue with the Agricultural Associations of Kastoria, as well as with the pan-Hellenic block committee, with the prospect of adding forces from the surrounding areas.
