Next Tuesday, a pan-Hellenic meeting will be held in Nikaia, Larissa, in order to determine their next moves.
At the same time, from Agrotica, Lefteris Avgenakis called on farmers to “evaluate the government’s measures and redefine their attitude”.
“The government treats with respect the labor of the farmers and their anxieties about the future of their production. With the latest announcements of the prime minister, he showed that he is responding to the reasonable requests regarding the reduction of production costs and energy costs. These are measures that exhaust the fiscal potential of the country, but also of the European legislation. It is time for farmers to evaluate the government’s measures and redefine their stance. It is the time of consensus, understanding, social normality. It is time for dialogue and joint effort. Together we will win much more”, emphasized the Minister of Rural Development and Food Lefteris Avgenakis.
Students mobilizing against the non-state universities bill attended to show their support.
After the speeches, the farmers joined their colleagues from Central Macedonia, who have been with their tractors since Thursday at the southern gate of TIF. The tractors will leave on Sunday, which marks the end of Agrotica, while farmers have expressed their intention to return to the blocks.
