Rapid developments has caused the decision of the professors of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki to refuse their participation in remote examinations.

They argue that with said examination method the integrity of the process is not guaranteed.

At the same time, the risk of missing the February exam is visible due to the occupations, while a relevant circular has been issued by the Ministry of Education for remote exams.

The Prosecutor’s Office of Thessaloniki started in this direction preliminary criminal investigation to investigate the commission of any criminal acts, which result from the refusal of the professors of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki to participate in the remote examination. For example if the law results from an obligation to comply with a relevant circular of the Ministry of Education, which recommends remote examination as an emergency solution.

The reason for the prosecutor’s intervention was the decision of the Professors of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of AUTH, according to which the integrity of the process is not guaranteed.

The decision of the Department

The Assembly of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at its session number 8a/1-2-2024 decided:
