The investigation by police officers of the Department of Crimes against Life and Personal Freedom of the Directorate of Security of Thessaloniki, led to the investigation of a case of kidnapping, robbery, attempted extortion and causing bodily harm against a 35-year-old man Pakistani.

They were identified as perpetrators in the case five Greeks aged 26 to 41against whom a relevant case file was filed.

In particular, as emerged from the police investigation, in September 2023, the perpetrators located the 35-year-old at a gas station located in Evosmos and attacked him. Then, with the use of force, they boarded him in an I.X.E car and took him to a nearby house, demanding money amount he owed, for the purchase – supply of narcotics.

They then took the amount of money from him 150 euros, but when they were informed of the immediate police investigation, they returned the money and transported him with another I.X.E. car in the area of ​​Kordelios, where he was released.

As part of the conducted investigation, four vehicles used for the above criminal acts were identified and seized.

It is noted that the above have previously concerned the prosecuting authorities for various criminal offenses on a case-by-case basis, among others for a criminal organization, purchase, possession and sale of narcotic substances, joint dangerous bodily harm, resistance, fraud, legislation relating to “crimes of violence on the occasion of sporting events, distinguished cases of theft, theft, illegal carrying of weapons-use of weapons, moral turpitude in promotion on the Greek territory of citizens of third countries who lack legal travel documents and citizenship.

The relevant case file will be submitted to the First Instance Prosecutor of Thessaloniki.
