Pantelis M. Papadopoulos was born in Piraeus in 1932 and had refugee origins from Smyrna in Asia Minor.
He married Niki-Violeta Nikitakis and they had two sons, Pantelis and Alexandros.
He began his career in the Air Force, but in late 1959 he turned to the business world.
In 1961 he founded his first business for repairing machinery and agricultural equipment.
In 1962 it succeeded the first Husqvarna machine dealer outside of Sweden.
Since then, he managed to create the leading Greek Group of Companies in the field of forest & garden machinery, agriculture, energy production, building & construction, etc., representing the most well-known brands of the respective industries worldwide.
He was vice-president of the Association of Importers of Machinery Dealers (SEAM), a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic-Swedish Chamber and participated in a number of organizations. In 2023 he was awarded for his overall contribution to the machinery industry.
