As for tuition fees a letter of guarantee in the amount of 500,000 euros is defined for each school and minimum three faculties while there will also be exceptions for the top 20 universities in the world.

According to Mr. Pierrakakis, non-state universities will start accepting student applications from September 2025, while discussions are ongoing with well-known foreign universities that have already expressed their interest.

The minister also emphasized that the public university is also being upgraded with a funding mechanism for innovative ideas, establishment of new departments and new study programs.
