In the arrest Frformer senior executive her terrorist organization “Conspiracy of Cores of Fire” and known anti-authoritarian, ELAS proceeded for possession of weapons and explosives. The secret police operation took place on Friday noon in Athens, Piraeus and Perama.

At the same time, ELAS made three more arrests. In their possession were found explosives, fuse, flash grenades and cartridges. They are two brothers, one of whom belongs to OC of the Coast Guard, the second works as a porter in a bar in Athens and the third is unidentified.

The former “Cores of Fire” executive has served a prison sentence for anarchist terrorism and was released on parole in 2019.

The 4 arrested are charged – as the case may be – with offenses of the manufacture and possession of explosive and incendiary materials and of violating the laws on weapons and drugs.

What EL.AS says in its announcement

At midday on Friday, February 9, 2024, the Extortion Prosecution Department of the Attica Security Directorate arrested four (4) local defendants for the -as the case may be- crimes of manufacturing and possessing explosive and incendiary materials and for violating the laws on weapons and drugs.

In particular, after appropriate utilization of information, -4- nationals were found to possess in their homes in Athens, Piraeus and Perama, weapons, explosives and other items suitable for use in criminal actions.

In more detail, from the investigations carried out, the following were found and seized:

  • -2- TNT explosive box,
  • -4- torpedo instantaneous fuses,
  • grenade,
  • pistol with a cartridge in the chamber and a magazine with -5- cartridges,
  • military rifle magazine,
  • -2- empty pistol magazines,
  • -281- cartridges of various calibers,
  • cartridge case,
  • portable wireless,
  • improvised package with cannabis weighing -6- grams,
  • cloth gun holster,
  • Bulletproof vest,
  • collapsible metal rod,
  • -5- knives, of which -3- folding,
  • -4- iron fists,
  • bat,
  • flare, smoke generator and -4- torches,
  • anabolic substances,
  • gas cylinders,
  • -11- mobile phones,
  • -6- portable electronic computers,
  • External Hard Drives,
  • agenda and notebook with handwritten notes.

It is noted that one of the arrested has previously been charged with membership in a terrorist organization, while the others for – as the case may be – dangerous bodily harm, violation of the laws on weapons, on sports (possession of a flare launcher) and on doping, and for rape.
