“Yesterday in the meeting with the prime minister no solutions were given”the representative of the 15-member committee of farmers in Thessaly, Mr. Tzelas, said on Wednesday morning to SKAI and added that the farmers will continue their mobilizations with a descent into Athens and closure of the National Roads.
“I think that anyone who reads the requests we submitted and the government’s responses, will not be able to get anything positive, apart from the electricity – which of course does not apply to all farmers.”
“Substantial solutions and answers were not given yesterday, we want the government to understand the big problem we are facing, but not in words, in actions”he emphasized
Sokratis Aleiftira also expressed his dissatisfaction with the government’s decisions, Press Representative of the Agricultural Federation of Agricultural Associations of Larisa. Speaking on the show “Good Morning Greece” of ANT1, reported that the growers are anything but happy with the additional support measures from the Government.
“The “Athens” option is a one-way street he said characteristically adding that it is “a difficult undertakingit cannot be supported by one bloc, it needs organization and participation from all blocs, but the descent by tractor to Athens is a one-way street”.
New block from the farmers
The same time, tractors remain on the roads and farmers continue their blockades. Early in the afternoon, the farmers in Agrinio set up a road block with their tractors on the old Antirrio – Ioannina National Highway.
The continuation of the mobilizations and the closure of the Athens-Lamia highway to both traffic streams was decided by the farmers of the Antili block at the meeting held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, according to lamiareport.gr.

“There is no more fiscal room,” says the government
Anyway for its part, the government declares that there are no more fiscal margins. Speaking to SKAI 100.3, the Minister of Environment and Energy, Theodoros Skylakakis, was categorical: “There is no trace of fiscal space from now on for the case of farmers. Open dialogue can always exist, but with open roads.”
The Deputy Minister of Rural Development, Stavros Keletsis, moved on the same wavelength speaking to First Program: “From the side of the government, it has become clear that the margins of any benefits on the part of the farmers have been exhausted, in the sense that the fiscal framework and the finances of the country are specific, they are narrow”pointing out that the doors of the ministry are always open for dialogue.
