Authorities have arrested a 33-year-old man who allegedly sexually abused his underage stepdaughter.

According to an announcement by EL.AS, the 33-year-old man, who had under his supervision the minor girl, taking advantage of her mother’s absence and abusing her trust, committed sexual acts against her.

The abuses took place in Evia from 30-06-2022 to 24-12-2022 and especially during the months of August – September 2022, as well as during the subsequent period when they resided in Lavrio, Attica, i.e. from 24-12-2022 to 16 -05-2023.

A case file was filed against the 33-year-old by the Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate, for the rape and abuse of a minor who did not reach the age of 14, while his arrest was carried out by police officers of the Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate of Attica.

The arrested person will be taken to the competent judicial authorities.

“A 33-year-old citizen was arrested, pursuant to a relevant Warrant of the Investigative Department of the Court of First Instance of Athens, for a case concerning the commission of genital acts.

In particular, the 33-year-old, according to a complaint made, the period from June 2022 to May 2023, in the regions of Evia and Attica where they lived as a family, while he had a minor under his supervision, taking advantage of her mother’s absence and abusing her trust, performed sexual acts against the minor.

A case file was filed against the 33-year-old by the Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate of the Thessaloniki Security Directorate, for rape and abuse of a minor who did not reach the age of 14, while his arrest was carried out by police officers of the Attica Juvenile Protection Sub-Directorate.
