The start of a new seven-month employment program for 20,000 young people with the basic salary was announced by the DYPA commander, Spyros Protopsaltis, via ERT.

The Public Employment Service will subsidize 100% of the salary and contributions in order for these people to acquire the work experience they need and then claim with much better conditions their advancement in the labor market. The program will run within the next month and a half, giving the opportunity to those interested to submit the relevant applications.

“DYPA invests in people, invests in active employment policies. We don’t want to give benefits, we want to help people find work. Our programs have given work to more than 160,000 people in the last 4.5 years” said the director of the DYPA Sp. Protopsaltis.

“We are preparing a large program, which will involve the recruitment of young people for seven months, to gain the experience they need, we will subsidize 100% of the salary and contributions and this program will involve 20,000 young people”, he emphasized about the new this program, which is coming in the next period.

The program lasts seven months and the D.YPA.A. pays beneficiaries a monthly compensation equal to the minimum net salary (with full insurance contributions), as well as a proportion of holiday gifts and holiday allowance.

Businesses are classified according to the number of their employees, as follows:

Employers with up to 3 employees – Maximum number of beneficiaries: 1
Employers with a staff of up to 4-9 people – Maximum number of beneficiaries: 2
Employers with a staff of up to 10-19 people – Maximum number of beneficiaries: 3
Employers with a staff of up to 20-30 people – Maximum number of beneficiaries: 5
Employers with a staff of up to 31-50 people – Maximum number of beneficiaries: 8
Employers with a staff of more than 50 people – Maximum number of beneficiaries: 20% of the employed staff or up to 20 people.
A necessary condition is that the company has not made a reduction in staff, due to the termination of an employment contract, in the quarter prior to the submission of the application.
