The Ministry of Immigration and Asylum is recruiting a total of 509 permanent employees. According to a relevant announcement of the ministry, the recruitment of staff of various specialties (administrative – financial, engineering, IT, law, general duties, etc.) becomes necessary for the smooth operation of the central service and the regional structures of the Ministry.
With the announcement 2K / 2022 through ASEP, the procedures for the recruitment of 473 people begin (106 University education, 87 people of Technological Education, 177 Secondary Education and 103 Compulsory Education).
Also, the announcement of the remaining 36 positions for persons who are protected by the provisions of Law 2643/1998 (disabled, large families, National Resistance, war invalids and their children, three children) is expected.
In a statement, the Minister of Immigration and Asylum speaks of “a new era for the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum and a clear change of mentality” and adds that with permanent staff.
We are leaving behind an era of emergency and uncertainty. “Our ministry is finally regaining control, gaining permanent staff and a solid administrative pyramid.”
Specifically, these are 237 positions in the new structures of the islands and in the Evros Outpost, 154 positions for the structures inland, as well as 118 positions for the central services of the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum (Technical Service, General Directorate of Informatics and Communications, General Directorate Administrative and Financial Services, and other services).
It is noted that in case of closure of structures until the final recruitment of employees, the positions are transferred to neighboring facilities, while in some structures the locality is proposed among the candidates. The start of submission of applications and the relevant procedure will be announced in the coming days by ASEP.
