In the Penteli Children’s General Hospital were found today, on the occasion of the start of the work renovation of the hospital’s facilities, Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, Deputy Minister Irini Agapidakis and Deputy Minister Marios Themistokleous.

The renovation works of the hospital facilities will be financed by the non-profit organization “Kaizen Foundation” and will cost 3.8 million euros. The renovation will take place, among other things, at surgeriesthe clinics of the first floor and the ground floor.

Systems will be added fire safety and the exterior will be renovated.

It’s about her largest scale renovation of hospital facilities in the last 80 yearswith which operational problems that were bothering staff and patients will be dealt with, the Ministry of Health points out.

At the same time, there will be changes required by national legislation, such as transport of the pharmacy on the ground floor and the unhindered access of Disabled in all areas of the hospital.

The renovation project of the GNPP, whose studies are in the process of being prepared, will be carried out in four distinct phases, in order to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the hospital, with a completion date of the works at the end of 2024.

The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadesafter thanking on behalf of the Greek State, Kaizen Gaming and the newly established Kaizen Foundation which begins its project by renovating this important for the residents of North Athens and neighboring areas pediatric hospital, as he said, he added: “Thanks to the project the doctors and nursing staff will have a modern place to practice their work and the young patients and their parents, decent hospital conditions in a place in Penteli that after the works will really be a jewel of the National Health System”.

For her part, the Deputy Minister of Health Irini Agapidakis, stated that “the Ministry of Health is a Ministry of Care and the most vulnerable group of citizens are children. It is therefore very important that with the help of the Kaizen Foundation we are able to provide even more quality services to children. This is the basic mission of the Ministry of Health, to serve all citizens and especially the children who are the future of our country”.

The Deputy Minister of Health Marios Themistocleous, emphasized that “the collaboration with Kaizen Gaming and the Kaizen Foundation is an example of how private initiative can contribute positively to the improvement of public health services provided to our children and our fellow citizens. And I would like to point this out as a doctor who has worked in a public pediatric hospital. We sincerely thank them for their contribution and support to the ongoing effort of the Greek government to upgrade the National Health System”.

Finally, the founder and CEO of Kaizen Gaming, George Daskalakis, said characteristically: “Today we are moving towards the realization of another dream, with the establishment of the Kaizen Foundation, as we are now able to contribute to society more meaningfully than ever before. The launch of the Foundation comes with the largest donation we have made to date, which will radically change for the better the lives of the children, families and staff at Paedon Pentelis.
